Plan on slippery road conditions. Reduced visibility possible in areas with gustiest winds and falling snow. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow showers will increase again on Saturday evening above 5000 feet. Snow amounts will be less than 10 inches and will not impact the passes. (3 of 3) * WHAT...Heavy snow above 5000 ft. Additional snow accumulations between 3 and 7 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph over exposed terrain. * WHERE...Southern Oregon Cascades north of Highway 140, including Crater Lake National Park, Diamond Lake and Highways 230, 62 and 138 as well as Highway 58 at Willamette Pass. * WHEN...Until 5 PM PDT this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning and evening commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels will rise to 6000 feet later today before lowering to 5000 feet again this evening.
